Broadening Participation in Computing
Engineering Education Community
Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) is a NSF sponsored program. The goal of BPC is to significantly increase the number of underrepresented graduates in computing disciplines, with an emphasis on women, persons with disabilities, and minorities (African Americans, Hispanics, American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders). This website seeks to connect existing members of the BPC community to one another and to those interested in getting involved. This website is interactive and registered members are encouraged to submit content where applicable. The purpose of this web portal is to provide a place for the BPC, stay abreast of BPC issues, and participate in resource match-making.
The NSF BPC programs have three components: Alliances, Demonstration Projects, and supplements to CISE grants. Browse or search our resources in computing diversity and education below. Add BPC search and news items to your own website using the our inline forms option. Go to Advanced Search in the left menu for a more sophisticated search using the Engineering Pathway's search engine.
