| Description: | This introduction to HRSG Design is presented to provide an overview of the considerations and methods used in the thermal and mechanical design of watertube HRSG units as found in Cogeneration Plants, Combined Cycles, and the Refining & Petrochemical Industries. the site is organized around the following concepts: Scope/Definitions, Types/Configurations, Schematics, Heat Balance, Heat Transfer, Process, Circulation, Publications, Calculators, There is also associated software called WinBoil.exe, a Heat Recovery Steam Generator or Waste Heat Boiler rating and design program. Will rate units with up to three pressure levels having up to twenty coils and thirty streams. The systems can have integral deaerator systems and spray desuperheaters. The unit can have process coils mixed in with the superheaters, evaporators, and economizers. Coils can be in series or parallel. Units can be supplementary fired with burner placement anywhere in unit. Burner can be with or without auxiliary air supply. Oil firing can have mechanical or steam atomization. CO combustion can be calculated in combustion chambers of CO Boilers. Non-luminous radiation can be taken into account when firing temperatures are high. Acid dew point is calculated automatically. The Steamer.exe program is for rating Once Through Steam Generators as used in the oil fields. Units can be supplementary fired with all the features described above for WinBoil.exe. Program is setup specifically for the horizontal tube recoverying heat from gas turbine exhaust, but may be used for other applications. |
