| Description: | Green Education Foundation (GEF) Green Teams projects for elementary, middle and high schools enhance National Green Week and continue through the completion of the school year. Green Team Projects are designed for groups of students and a school advisor. A Green Team may wish to create its own plan of action on an environmental challenge or may select one proposed by GEF on the National Green Week website. GEF offers support and mentoring for each school team and its advisor so as to enhance the likeliness of success. Plans should have measurable outcomes and a reasonable timeline. The school advisor should help the students identify their environmental challenge, assist in the development and implementation of the plan and help students analyze the data for effectiveness of the project. Green Team Power Projects can also be integrated into an Introductory Biology class. The school projects are to commence around Feb 2, 2009 (National Green Week) and should conclude by April 22, 2009 (Earth Day). Please submit videos, photos, essays and reports that demonstrate the project results. |
