| Description: | Interactive Heat Transfer (IHT) enables users to build thermal models, solve specific conditions, and explore the effects of multiple parameter variations. Drag and drop templates for many standard problems allow users to customize the problems at hand. IHT Models provide comprehensive analysis platforms pertaining to: - The First Law - Resistance Networks - 1-D Steady State Conduction - Extended Surfaces - Lumped Capacitance - Transient Conduction Description of the software: The Workspace, the centerpiece of IHT, is the first window that appears once IHT is launched. Equations and Assigned Variables, as well as, comments and Schematics are entered into this window from the keyboard or pull-down pads, which are in the form of Models or Tools. The Models are represented by a Schematic and a collection of preexisting tabs, which can be customized by the user for general applications. Tools are comprised of Viewpads providing specific equations, such as Rate Equations or Convection Correlations, which can be transferred into the Workspace to tailor a model for a specific application. Interactive Heat Transfer comes bundled with Fundamentals of Heat and Mass Transfer, Fourth Edition. To get this courseware, you must first submit a search query for Interactive Thermodynamics from the Wiley Search Engine. A link will take you to the Wiley Search Engine. |
