| Description: | In a study of 14- and 15-year-old students in Johannesburg, females' self-efficacy score was slightly higher than that of males. The median score was significantly lower for girls at co-ed schools than single-sex schools. Many more of the boys planned to continue with computer studies than girls. In a study at the university level, females scored significantly lower in self-efficacy than males. Female students predicted receiving lower grades than males, whereas in reality the actual grades were quite similar. Female self-efficacy with computers appeared to decrease with age. |
