| Description: | BPC Alliance Extension grant to add the Colorado Coalition for Gender and IT to the BPC-A: Widening the Research Pipeline grant. The areas of focus are: 1) Organize, develop, and evaluate CCGIT for growth and sustainability 2) Establish a proactive clearinghouse of community resources, best practices, and information 3) Lead innovation and conceptualize programs 4) Advocate on behalf of women and girls on IT pipeline policy issues 5) Act as a liaison with NCWIT to import/export effective practices and collaborate with partners nationwide. The goals are: The Computing Research Association's Committee on the status of Women in Computing Research (CRA-W) and the ACM/CRA/IEEE-cs Coalition to diversify Computing (CDC) are working together in a Broadening Participation in Computing (BPC) alliance to increase the participation of women and underrepresented minorities in computing research. The focus of this project is to address all aspects of the NSF Computer & Information Science & Engineering (CISE) research pipeline from undergraduate students to senior faculty. |
